Guys, here’s a question for you. Did you know that we can get yeast infections in our penis’? According to an article in the American Chronicle, we most certainly can. While this notion may be laughable to some, the article points out that “penile yeast infection is not a joke, and people who realise how serious this condition is will cease to laugh at those afflicted with it.”
Also known as Candidiasis, “yeast infection is the second most common cause of vaginal irritation and it is fairly infamous for what it does, especially among women.” But the the candida fungus, which causes yeast infections, does not discriminate and although less common, men are susceptible. If left untreated, the fungus can cause quite a few problems for men that sound a lot like gonorrhea: itching, burning, discharge, rashes…in short, it’s nothing nice.
So what’s a guy to do? The article offers a few suggestions
Although the chance of yeast infection occuring in men is slim, no one should take it for granted and start taking measures that will reduce the chances of acquiring this infection. One of the ways to achieve this is by having a healthy diet filled with more vegetables and less sugar.
